No carefully styled décor to admire here — the harbour itself is the show. Fishing boats and trawlers, imposing cargo ships, catamarans and yachts gently rocking: the bustle of Port-Vendres quays unfolds right from our tables. A sea breeze cools the hot days, and our standing tables and seated tables suit every moment — morning coffee, fresh oysters and cocktails at aperitif time, tapas and grilled sardines to nibble, or a full meal with our pizzas, moules-frites and seafood.

Le France sits at 21 Quai Pierre Forgas, facing the trawlers and fishing boats. From aperitif to dinner, the terrace moves to the rhythm of the harbour: come for a few tapas and a house cocktail, a plate of grilled sardines, moules-frites or a handmade pizza to share.
In the kitchen, Catalan recipes from the Côte Vermeille — anchovies, pan con tomate, fish soup, crema catalana — sit alongside brasserie classics. Open every day from 8am, for families, friends or couples, with no fuss.
